Sheffield United's co-owners Kevin McCabe and HRH Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud will meet for talks in London this week in a bid to resolve the increasingly acrimonious dispute over the ownership of the club.
Sky Sports News understands this will be the first face-to-face meeting of its kind since the co-owners fell out in the spring.
The breakdown in relations began after lawyers acting on behalf of Prince Abdullah served notice on McCabe, detailing the Saudi businessman's intention to take sole control of the club.
The Saudi prince bought 50 per cent of the club from McCabe in August 2013, with an option to take 100 per cent ownership at a later date.
Since February, both sides have been at loggerheads with growing concerns over the levels of future investment - and manager Chris Wilder's growing frustrations over plans and budgets for next season.
Wilder remains odds-on favourite to become the next Sunderland manager following the takeover by Stuart Donald - who worked with Wilder at Oxford.
Sheffield United finished 10th in the Championship this season - six points outside the playoffs.
