Our friends at Football Whispers have scoured the European media to round up the latest transfer news and big stories.

Germany

Manchester City are interested in Hoffenheim young talent Ilay Elmkies. The Israeli midfielder recently featured in the Bundesliga club's 4-2 win over City in the UEFA Youth Cup and among those impressed was coach Pep Guardiola. (Sport Bild)

Former Manchester City youngster Jadon Sancho has signed a new deal at Borussia Dortmund until 2022, despite interest from Premier League sides. The 18-year-old has featured in eight games for the Bundesliga side this season, providing six assists and a goal. (Sport Bild)

Spain

Barcelona's financial results show a record turnover of €960 (£854m), yet the Spanish champions also saw their costs rise to €929m (£827m). This may force Barca to reduce their wage bill and could even rule out any big signings in the January transfer window. (Mundo Deportivo)

The French international is refusing to sign a contract extension with the French champions and will be allowed to speak to other clubs in January. (Mundo Deportivo)

Italy

Juventus are hoping to make the contract extension of Daniele Rugani one of their main priorities once they have recovered from the unexpected departure of CEO Beppe Marotta. Rugani, who has been linked with Chelsea, sees his contract expire in 2021 but plans to renew the deal have been delayed due to a reshuffle in personnel in the Turin club's offices. (Calcio Mercato)

France

Marco Verratti's contract at PSG doesn't expire until the summer of 2021, but the French midfielder may be on the verge of signing an extension until 2023 after his agent Mino Raiola and the Parisian club came to an agreement. (L'Equipe)
