Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde believes it would be "difficult" to see Neymar rejoining the La Liga champions. Reports recently have claimed the world's most expensive player wants to return to the Nou Camp, and that those in Catalonia are weighing up the possibility. However, speaking in a pre-match press conference, the Barca boss did enough to dampen expectations: "Anything can happen, but it's difficult, we will see." (AS)

Summer signing Malcom could well be on his way out of the Nou Camp in January. The Brazilian, who looked set to join Roma before Barcelona swooped with a last-minute offer, has struggled to break into Valverde's first-team squad. Inter Milan are believed to be interested and he remains a Tottenham and Arsenal transfer target. (Sport)

Neymar for PSG

Real Madrid believe Neymar can fill the marketing void left by the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus during the summer transfer window. Florentino Perez has drawn up a plan on how to maximise the Brazilian's appeal and feel the Santiago Bernabeu is the ideal home for him. Los Blancos resisted the urge to spend big in the summer to replace Ronaldo and instead are looking to bide their time to ensure they land Paris Saint-Germain's £220m man. (Le10Sport)

Ligue 1 champions PSG are exploring the possibility of replacing Sporting Director Antero Henrique with former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. There's already tension between Henrique and Thomas Tuchel after the former failed to deliver a midfielder for the latter this summer. Wenger would make PSG the destination for all French talent. Juventus are looking to secure a deal to sign Genoa hotshot Krzysztof Piatek and right a wrong in the process. The Poland international, who has nine goals in seven Serie A games, is believed to be a Barcelona transfer target but Juventus are favourites to land him. The Turin-based side almost signed Pietro Pellegri during the January transfer window but refused to negotiate with Genoa after Monaco placed a higher offer. (Calciomercato)

Liverpool transfer target Nicolo Barella has revealed his family are Inter Milan fans amid reports suggesting he could be moving to the San Siro: "I have always supported Cagliari, but in my house, they are all Interisti and therefore as a child I was happy when Inter won." (Calciomercato)

Uli Hoeness has launched a scathing attack on former Bayern Munich player Juan Bernat. The club president revealed exactly why he sold the Spanish international, who joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. "When we played in Sevilla, he (Bernat) was the only one responsible that we were about to be eliminated, that same day it was decided that we would sell him for this game."
