Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele has flown to Qatar to see a specialist over his ankle ligament damage.

Dembele is likely to be sidelined until the new year after injuring his ankle in the early stages of Tottenham's 3-2 win at Wolves earlier this month.

He is receiving treatment at Aspetar, a specialised Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital in Doha.

The Belgium midfielder has made 13 appearances for Spurs this season.

Dembele has already missed Tottenham's wins against PSV and Crystal Palace. He will also miss the London derby against Chelsea in November before the key Champions League tie with Inter Milan at Wembley.
