With less than two months remaining until the January window opens, the transfer talk is hotting up.

Our friends at Football Whispers have scoured the continental media to round up the latest transfer news from across Europe.

Italy

Juventus are interested in signing James Rodriguez, who is currently in his second year on loan at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid. The Colombian has fallen out of favour under Niko Kovac, with the 27-year-old thought to be unhappy with his role under Kovac and should he plot an escape, the Italian champions will most likely head the queue for his signature. Several of Europe's top clubs will keep a close eye on Sandro Tonali this week, with the 18-year-old Brescia midfielder set to make his Italy debut. Tonali, who has been dubbed 'the new Pirlo', was called up to the Azzurri by Roberto Mancini for the Nations League clash with Portugal and friendly against the USA after a string of impressive performances for the Serie B side. Noted admirers include Manchester City, Chelsea, Inter, Juventus and Roma. City boss Pep Guardiola sent a scout to watch Italy train at Coverciano on Monday. (La Gazzetta dello Sport)

Juventus are showing an interest in Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho. The 18-year-old England international has impressed for the Bundesliga leaders this season with five goals and seven assists in all competitions. (Calciomercato)

As well as Samir Nasri, West Ham are interested in making a move for 'another important Premier League player'. Nasri is expected to join the Hammers on a short-term deal having undergone a medical on Monday. Although there are fears over his fitness and wage demands, Manuel Pellegrini is keen to recruit the 31-year-old, whose 18-month doping ban ends on December 31. Pellegrini is determined to bolster his attacking ranks after Andriy Yarmolenko was ruled out for the rest of the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon. (France Football, via Sport Witness)

Celta Vigo star Maxi Gomez is a Tottenham transfer target. The 22-year-old Uruguayan has scored six goals and notched four assists for Celta this season after finding the net 17 times for the Galician side in the 2017/18 campaign. Nicknamed 'Toro', meaning Bull, Gomez is also attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund. (El Pais, via Sport Witness)

Santiago Solari is set to be rewarded for steadying the Real Madrid ship by being offered to stay on as manager until the end of the season. The 42-year-old Argentinian, who spent five years at the Bernabeu as a player, has won all of his four matches in charge since taking over from Julen Lopetegui, enough to convince the club's hierarchy that he deserves the job until next summer. Meanwhile, Antonio Conte, who has been linked to Real Madrid, has responded to Sergio Ramos' comments about respect. The defender claimed that respect is "not imposed, but earned" when discussing the possibility of Conte's appointment at Madrid, to which Conte has replied: "When a coach arrives at a team, he must bring education and respect, something that he would expect from the players too". The Italian also confirmed that he plans to wait until the summer before taking a new job. (Marca, via Rai Sport)

A key figure under Lopetegui, Isco now finds himself without a place under Solari. The Spain international playmaker has managed just 51 minutes during Solari's four games in charge and was an unused substitute in the 4-2 win over Celta Vigo at the weekend. With that, the 26-year-old will listen to offers come January. The former Malaga star has in the past been a Juventus transfer target. (AS)

Pablo Zabaleta is set to retire at the end of the season. The 33-year-old Argentinian, who won two Premier League titles with Manchester City, is currently with West Ham but plans to hang up his boots next summer for family reasons. (Sport)

Former Manchester city defender Martin Demichelis has called Louis van Gaal "completely crazy". The Argentinian served as vice-captain under the Dutchman during their time together at Bayern Munich. "He's completely crazy," Demichelis said. "Once we were leading 3-0 at half-time, he came into the dressing room, slammed the door and didn't stop yelling at us. 'You're a disaster'. I was vice-captain, so I told him 'Stop insulting us and show some respect!' (Sport BILD)
