The Nerazzurri have offered terms worth £7m a year-net to the 25-year-old Argentinian, but his agent and wife, Wanda Icardi, is demanding £9m a year. Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong - who is wanted by a host of Europe's biggest clubs, including Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Juventus - has chosen to sign for Barcelona, agreeing personal terms on a five-year deal.
