Nottingham Forest want former Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic to replace Aitor Karanka, according to Sky sources.

Karanka left his role on Friday morning, after asking to be released from his contract.

Sky Sports News understands he decided to leave due to outside influence disrupting his day-to-day management.

Forest are now targeting Jokanovic, who was sacked by Premier League side Fulham in November.

Jokanovic has a great record in the Sky Bet Championship and his previously guided both Watford and Fulham to promotion.
