Tottenham confirm north London derby against Arsenal will be played at Wembley

Wembley Stadium ahead of the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United

Tottenham have confirmed that their Premier League fixture against north London rivals Arsenal on Saturday, March 2 will take place at Wembley.

Wembley will be at maximum capacity for the fixture, with 90,000 tickets available.

Tottenham said they will announce refund details for those who had tickets in the new stadium in due course.

In a statement on the club's website, Tottenham said that remedial works on safety systems in the new stadium are nearing completion.

Testing of the fire detection and alarm systems will follow, both requirements for the club to obtain a safety certificate and open the stadium.
