As we enter the business end of the 2018/19 season, clubs across Europe are beginning to turn their thoughts to their summer recruitment plans.

Here, our friends at Football Whispers have rounded up the latest transfer news from the continental media.

Spain

Real Madrid have drawn up a three-man shortlist to replace Santiago Solari if the head coach fails to win the Champions League. The board have identified Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, Germany manager Joachim Low and Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri as their three main candidates. Solari was appointed on a permanent basis in November but is under increasing pressure after exiting the Copa del Rey and falling 12 points behind Barcelona in La Liga. (AS)

Real Madrid's Gareth Bale left the Santiago Bernabeu before Saturday night's El Clasico defeat to Barcelona finished. The Welshman, who left the pitch to a chorus of boos after a subdued display, was said to be unhappy with having been substituted after 61 minutes for Marco Asensio. Bale initially took his place on the bench beside Marcelo before getting up and heading off home. (Marca)

Alvaro Morata says he is 'very happy' at Atletico Madrid. The striker, on loan from Chelsea, scored twice to help Atleti beat Real Sociedad on Sunday, making it three goals in two games for the Spain international.

And Morata, who endured a difficult time at Stamford Bridge following his £58m move from Real Madrid in 2017, says his teammates have helped him adapt quickly to Diego Simeone's methods in the Spanish capital. "I am very happy because I have had a bad time in the past. I have adapted quickly thanks to the help of everybody at the club and my colleagues," he said. (Marca)

Spalletti, who took over at the San Siro in 2017, has been tipped to leave at the end of the season. (Corriere della Sera)

The 49-year-old's future now depends on the outcome of the Giallorossi's Champions League last-16 tie with Porto. Roma lead 2-1 from the first leg. (Corriere dello Sport)

Pavard is set to join the Bundesliga giants from Stuttgart at the end of the season while Hernandez has been strongly tipped to follow him from Atletico Madrid.
