Lincoln opened up a five-point gap at the top of Sky Bet League Two with a 2-0 home win against 10-man Oldham.
Harry Toffolo fired the Imps into a first-half-lead before Oldham's Jose Baxter was shown a straight red card for his challenge on Harry Anderson.
Danny Rowe doubled Lincoln's lead early in the second period and Danny Cowley's side cruised to their 11th home league win of the season.
MK Dons missed the chance to close the gap on second-placed Bury, who were not in action, by slipping to a 4-2 defeat at Morecambe.
Richie Bennett struck twice for Morecambe, either side of Ousseynou Cisse's own goal, and although Kieran Agard pulled two back for the Dons, Aaron Collins added a late fourth for the home side.
Mansfield leapfrogged MK Dons into third place on goal difference, but had to settle for a goalless draw at Crawley.
Tranmere boosted their play-off hopes with a convincing 4-1 home win against Grimsby. All the goals were scored in the first period, with Connor Jennings' brace sandwiching further efforts from Emmanuel Monthe and James Norwood.
Grimsby replied through Martyn Woolford's follow-up after Wes Thomas's penalty - for Mark Ellis' foul on Reece Hall-Johnson - had been saved.
Forest Green leapfrogged Colchester into sixth place following a 3-0 win at the JobServe Community Stadium. Liam Shephard and Reece Brown gave Forest Green a 2-0 half-time lead and Christian Doidge added a late third before Colchester's Frank Nouble was sent off for his second bookable offence.
Notts County climbed off the foot of the table with a 3-1 win at Carlisle.
Macclesfield slipped to the bottom after their home game against Exeter was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
