Robbie Fowler will be announced as manager of Australian club Brisbane Roar in the next 24 hours.

The former Liverpool striker is set to be named as permanent successor to former Australia international John Aloisi, who resigned as head coach of the A-League side in December.

Fowler will be presented to the fans ahead of Thursday's game against Adelaide United, the club's final match of the season.

Brisbane's current caretaker manager, Darren Davies, will remain in charge for the game, with Fowler taking over managerial duties ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

Fowler will be joined by former Everton midfielder Tony Grant, who will take up a role as assistant manager.
