West Brom are keen to speak with Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill about becoming their next boss.
O'Neill has managed Northern Ireland for eight years, guiding them to their first European Championships in 30 years, and within a controversial decision of qualification to the 2018 World Cup.
Former Brighton boss Chris Hughton, Charlton's Lee Bowyer and Lincoln's Danny Cowley have also been linked as potential successors to Darren Moore, who was sacked in March.
O'Neill, 49, has previously been linked with West Brom, Celtic, Brighton and Sunderland - he most recently turned down the opportunity to become Scotland's national team manager, opting to remain with his home nation.
Sky Sport News understands that O'Neill met with West Brom senior officials at the end of the 2017/18 season to discuss the opportunity of becoming their manager.
It would take reassurances over the club's budgets and current stability for O'Neill to leave his post with the IFA, according to Sky sources.
