Twitter has revealed the top 10 most popular Premier League moments on its platform this season - but which got the world tweeting most?

We also have the top 10 most discussed managers and a most mentioned XI, in which Manchester United's bit-part captain Wayne Rooney makes an uncommon start.

MOST MENTIONED MANAGERS

Two managers that failed to lead their respective teams to a top-four finish were the most popular topics of conversations out of all Premier League managers this season.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was the most popular, followed by his old Arsenal adversary Arsene Wenger.

Chelsea's Antonio Conte led the Blues to the title in his first season in charge, but was only the third most discussed boss.

Conte was followed by Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Claudio Ranieri, Sam Allardyce, Mauricio Pochettino, Ronald Koeman and Eddie Howe.

MOST TWEETED ABOUT XI

Manchester United's David de Gea sparked the most conversations on Twitter to claim his starting place between the sticks.

Chelsea duo David Luiz and John Terry partner Arsenal centre-back Shkodran Mustafi in a back three, with Terry set to leave the club after 22 years at Stamford Bridge.

Twitter have used a 3-4-3 formation but binned wing-backs to shoehorn the top players, with Chelsea's Eden Hazard on the left and Liverpool's Phillipe Coutinho on the right.

Unsurprisingly, Manchester United's world-record signing Paul Pogba claims his place in central midfield alongside Blues' PFA Player of the Year N'Golo Kante.

Two United strikers with uncertain futures at the club feature up front, in Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney, while Tottenham's Golden Boot winner Harry Kane completes the XI.
