Manchester City’s head physio Lee Nobes leaving to join Liverpool

Manchester City’s head physio Lee Nobes is leaving the club at the end of the month to join Premier League rivals Liverpool.

Nobes has been at City for 11 years after originally joining Sven Goran Eriksson's backroom staff.

Since then he has worked under managers Mark Hughes, Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini and Pep Guardiola.

Sunday's 3-1 win over United in the Manchester derby was Nobes' last match with the club.

Liverpool have appointed Nobes as a replacement for Matt Konopinski, who announced that he was leaving his role at the club last month.

Konopinski spent 10 years at Anfield but left the club to take up a position with the Football Association.
