Savinho transfer: Spurs agree £85m deal to sign Brazi forward from Manchester City

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed an £85m deal with Manchester City to sign Savinho.
Spurs will pay an initial £75m for the Brazil international, with a further £10m available in add-ons.
It is understood that £5m of the potential bonuses are effectively guaranteed, meaning City could receive at least £80m from the deal.

The 22-year-old is scheduled to have a medical with Tottenham on Friday afternoon.
Spurs also remain in talks with Man City over a separate deal for striker Omar Marmoush as they look to further strengthen their attacking options.
Savinho, who has played a bit-part role since joining Manchester City in 2024, started only seven of his 24 Premier League appearances last season, in which he scored once and set up two goals.
Tottenham have already spent more than £200m on six first-team players this summer. They spent £185m on two midfielders, Sandro Tonali and Matheus Fernandes, from Newcastle and West Ham respectively.
Jan Paul van Hecke joined from Brighton for £52m to replace Cristian Romero.
Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka all arrived on free transfers.
How are Spurs spending so much money?
At the start of the transfer window, Sky Sports News' Michael Bridge explained how Spurs are able to spend big this summer...
"We're told there are absolutely no concerns about falling foul of the Premier League's financial rules.
"The club is in great financial health after qualifying for Europe in 18 of the last 20 seasons. The revenue driven by the stadium is huge: boxing, concerts, NFL games - you name it.
"In fact, in the Deloitte Money League, the rankings show that Tottenham Hotspur have leapfrogged Chelsea to become the ninth richest club in the world with annual revenues of £549.2m.
"On top of that, Spurs are one of the clubs to benefit most from the Premier League's shift to squad cost ratio from PSR, which has just come into effect. But the reason we're seeing Spurs spend so much is a shift in strategy under new leadership.
"Daniel Levy left at the start of last season, and there's a real desire to spend the money to dine at the very top table.
"Now the new leadership and the owners promised fans, after avoiding relegation on the final day, that they would spend the club's revenue on the first team, and they are delivering on that."
'City will want to replace Savinho and Marmoush'
Sky Sports News' Ben Ransom:
"Both players [Savinho and Marmoush] are essentially surplus to requirements at Manchester City. It's been pretty apparent through the summer. Enzo Maresca has said that in the case of both players, they are very much entitled to stay and fight for their first-team place.
"But equally he understands, a bit like James Trafford, when a player wants to play first-team football and they're not guaranteed the starting shirt, then the club, if they receive an offer that's acceptable, will not stand in their way. That applies to both players.
"City would need to replace these players. They would definitely, I'd say, have to replace one. They would like to and would aim to replace two.
"But the transfer window is closing in less than a fortnight. These are big positions to fill so late in the window."
