Liverpool fixtures: Premier League 2016/17

Liverpool fixtures

Liverpool start the 2016/17 season with a tough away trip to last season's runners-up, Arsenal.

The Reds had requested an away fixture to kick off their campaign to give them more time to complete work on their new main stand but may not have had a trip to the Emirates in mind.

Burnley are the first visitors to Anfield on August 20 but Liverpool then face two more difficult trips to London with away games against Tottenham and Chelsea either side of the visit of champions Leicester to Anfield.

The Kop will have a special welcome for 'The Special One' on October 15 when Jose Mourinho brings his Manchester United side to Merseyside - the reverse fixture is scheduled for January 14.

And Jurgen Klopp's side travel to Goodison for the first derby of the season on December 17, just ahead of a Christmas fixture list that sees a Boxing Day home game against Stoke followed by a New Year's Eve showdown against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City - also at Anfield.

Liverpool visit the Etihad on March 18 before Ronald Koeman brings his Everton side to Anfield on April 1 ahead of a run-in that culminates in a final home game against Middlesbrough on the last day of the season.
