Liverpool are interested in signing Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon, Sky sources understand.

Sessegnon, 16, has enjoyed a superb breakthrough season in the Championship and has established himself as manager Slavisa Jokanovic's first-choice left-back.

He has been at Craven Cottage since joining the academy as a nine-year-old, with his twin brother Steven also still in the club's ranks.

Sessegnon's excellent form for a Fulham side pushing for a place in the Sky Bet Championship play-offs has attracted interest from a number of top-flight clubs, however, with Liverpool among those understood to be monitoring his progress.

Jurgen Klopp has also been linked with Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette and RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita as he looks to strengthen his squad over the summer.
