Lazio deny approach for Liverpool winger Bobby Adekanye

Lazio have denied reaching an agreement with Liverpool winger Bobby Adekanye and say they are not in negotiations to sign the 19-year-old.

Nigeria-born Holland youth international Adekanye, who joined Liverpool from Barcelona in 2015, has been linked with Lazio in the last few days by newspaper reports in Italy.

Jurgen Klopp is optimistic about Liverpool's young prospects, describing academy talent Ki-Jana Hoever as 'a joy to watch' in training.

The Serie A club said in a statement on their official website on Monday: "In reference to the news released by some media, according to which SS Lazio have found an agreement with the player Bobby Adekanye, the club denies this and announces that it has not signed any contract, nor has it started negotiations for the aforementioned player."
