Sky Sports News HQ understands negotiations between Arsenal and Alex Iwobi over a new long-term contract are ongoing.
On Tuesday, the Daily Mirror suggested Iwobi had agreed to sign a new five-year contract with the Gunners, worth around £30,000-a-week.
But Sky sources understand the 19-year-old is yet to finalise terms over a new deal, although talks are continuing between the player and the club.
Iwobi, who has been labelled as 'special' by manager Arsene Wenger, only signed a new four-year deal with Arsenal in October.
But he has since impressed with a string of strong performances and has scored in his last two matches, helping Arsenal claim victories over Everton and Watford.
Iwobi recently pledged his international future to Nigeria, the country of his birth, despite representing England at U16, U17 and U18 level.
