Arsenal line up a big-money move for a new central defender, as we round up the latest rumours on Monday, May 14.
The Gunners are believed to be eyeing a £53m end-of-season swoop for the highly rated Napoli central defender Kalidou Koulibaly, according to reports in the Mirror.
The Senegal international, 26, is currently contracted to the Serie A club until the summer of 2021.
Elsewhere, Juventus manager Max Allegri has ruled himself out of the running to take over as Arsenal boss - as long as the Italian champions don't sack him that is, says the Daily Express.
Allegri is believed to be one of the favourites to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates next season.
Meanwhile, the Frenchman does not think he is ready to manage against Arsenal yet, having taken charge of the club for the final time against Huddersfield Town on Sunday afternoon.
Wenger leaves the north London club this summer after 22 years in the Gunners dugout.
