Europa League round-up: Napoli take control in tie against FC Zurich

Carlo Ancelotti saw his Napoli team take a strong grip on their Europa League last-32 tie against FC Zurich in Switzerland, winning 3-1 as Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon struck inside the opening 21 minutes.

Piotr Zielinski made it 3-0 with 13 minutes remaining, although Benjamin Kololli's late penalty provided some consolation for the Swiss.

Shakhtar Donetsk skipper Taison secured a 2-2 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt despite his side having to play for 79 minutes with ten men.

Marlos had already cancelled out Martin Hinteregger's opener when Taras Stepanenko received his marching orders for a second bookable offence.

Filip Kostic then restored Eintracht's lead but Taison's 67th-minute equaliser denied the Germans victory.

Olivier Giroud's audacious flick helped to ease the pressure on manager Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea bounced back from their Manchester City nightmare with a 2-1 victory at Malmo.

Valencia also took a significant step towards the last 16 with a 2-0 win over Scottish champions Celtic at Celtic Park.

Real Betis substitute Diego Lainez left it late to make his mark with a last-gasp equaliser in a 3-3 draw at Rennes, who had led 2-0 after just nine minutes.

There was late drama too at Olympiakos, where Dynamo Kiev midfielder Benjamin Verbic struck with a minute remaining to clinch a 2-2 draw.

There were no such difficulties for Inter Milan as Lautaro Martinez's first-half penalty secured a 1-0 win at Rapid Vienna, although Serie A rivals Lazio went down at home to La Liga outfit Sevilla - record five-time Europa League winners - by the same score courtesy of Wissam Ben Yedder's goal.

Haris Seferovic secured a 2-1 victory for Benfica at Galatasaray, while the matches between Slavia Prague and Genk, and Krasnodar against Bayer Leverkusen, both finished goalless.
