Everton duo Seamus Coleman and Muhamed Besic will undergo scans after suffering injuries against Chelsea last Saturday.

Bosnia midfielder Besic limped off with a hamstring injury after just nine minutes of the 3-1 Premier League victory at Goodison Park, while a similar problem forced Republic of Ireland defender Coleman to be replaced late in the second half.

Ahead of Saturday's trip to Swansea City, manager Roberto Martinez is hopeful of receiving positive updates on his players.

"Forty-eight hours after the game, we're quite positive in the way Mo and Seamus feel," he told evertontv.

"I think Seamus felt a lot better than Mo immediately after the game but we're going to get the scans done today so we have a clear idea.

"I don't think it looks as bad as we feared once it happened but we'll get more information as the week goes on and we'll see how long a period we're looking at for the two players.
