The former Watford owner wants EFL guarantees relating to his takeover of Bolton

Laurence Bassini is seeking an assurance from the EFL that Bolton Wanderers will not be deducted 12 points next season.
The former Watford owner is currently in talks to take over Bolton after their relegation to the League One but told Sky Sports he fears a previous attempt to put the club into administration may have triggered a breach of Football League rules - and a consequent points deduction.
Bassini also claims he has satisfied conditions around proof of funds after the EFL gave him until 7pm this evening to send over all the relevant information to progress with the takeover.
It is the latest development in a lengthy saga which saw last weekend's game with Brentford called off when Bolton's players refused to play after not receiving their April wages from current owner Ken Anderson.
It is understood the PFA stepped in to make loan payments to ensure the fixture could be fulfilled - along with Bolton's final Championship encounter away to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Bassini has also told Sky Sports he never agreed to pay any of Bolton's outstanding debts, including unpaid salaries, while he did not hold a mandate to own the club.
