Diego Maradona believes Napoli will sell Gonzalo Higuain and has urged his former club to replace the striker with Tottenham's Harry Kane.
Higuain is top scorer in Serie A with 30 goals, but his chances of claiming a maiden Scudetto were quashed following Monday's 1-0 defeat to Roma - a result that handed Juventus their fifth straight title.
Despite Higuain's impressive campaign for the Partenopei, Maradona has questioned whether his Argentinian compatriot can replicate his form next season - citing former forward Ezequiel Lavezzi as a reference, who was sold to Paris Saint-Germain for £23m in 2012.
Higuain has been linked with a possible departure this summer, and Maradona has urged the club to target Spurs striker Kane as a potential replacement, with the 22-year-old scoring 24 goals in the Premier League this season.
"I know [Napoli president Auerelio] De Laurentiis, and I think he will sell Higuain," Maradona told Piuenne TV.
"[Higuain] gave his best to Napoli, I don't think he can repeat this kind of form. We already saw it happen with Lavezzi.
"With the money he will earn, he will have to build a great team.
"It's not easy to replace Higuain, if it was up to me, I would choose Tottenham's Kane. I don't know how much he costs, but I would sign him."
