Real Zaragoza are hoping to sign Tottenham Hotspur attacker Giovani Dos Santos on loan in the January transfer window.
Dos Santos has struggled to make an impact since arriving at White Hart Lane from Barcelona in 2008 and has made just 20 appearances for Spurs.
The Mexico international has had loan spells at Ipswich Town and Galatasaray, and has not featured under Harry Redknapp since September.
He could now be offered a move to Spain next month, with his compatriot Javier Aguirre interested in taking the 21-year-old to Zaragoza.
"Gio could be a very important part of my plans," said Aguirre in the Spanish media.
Dos Santos, who has started only two Premier League games during his Spurs career, is waiting for the club to make a decision regarding his future.
He said: "It depends on Spurs. I wanted to play more, but that's the manager's decision."
