Henderson back at Brighton

Brighton & Hove Albion have signed goalkeeper Wayne Henderson from Aston Villa.

Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of goalkeeper Wayne Henderson from Aston Villa.

The 23-year-old has moved to the South Coast club in a deal that could be potentially worth £35,000, should The Seagulls maintain their status in The Championship this season.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has signed a deal until the summer of 2008 with Mark McGhee's side and is pleased to have made the permanent move to The Withdean Stadium.

"It's taken a long time to get sorted, but now that it is, I'm delighted that it's been put to bed and I can get on with playing football again," Henderson told Brighton's official website.

As Henderson arrives back, two Brighton players have left the club on loan this week.

Striker Maheta Molango has joined Spanish Segunda B club UB Conquense on loan, having ended a similar loan spell at League Two club Lincoln City.

Winger Albert Jarrett, meanwhile, has joined League One side Swindon Town on a month's loan.
