Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne is back in training as he continues his recovery from injury.

The Belgium international suffered knee ligament damage and a sprained ankle in City's 3-1 win over Everton in the second leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final on January 27.

But De Bruyne is making good progress and has been working with the club's strength and conditioning coach Simon Bitcon, with the club posting pictures of him working with the ball at his feet.

The 24-year-old said last week his recovery was "going according to plan" and he hoped to be back in full training with the squad "after the international break at the end of March".

De Bruyne, signed from Wolfsburg for a club record £54.5m last summer, has impressed during his time at the Etihad Stadium, with 12 goals and 12 assists coming from his 31 appearances to date.
