Manchester City handed UEFA fine over Monaco Champions League match
Friday 24 March 2017 17:45, UK
Manchester City have been fined £15,576 by UEFA following a number of incidents at the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 match against Monaco on February 21.
The fine relates to a pitch invasion, the throwing of objects and a late kick-off for the game at the Etihad Stadium, which City won 5-3.
Pep Guardiola's side went on to lose the second leg 3-1 and exited the competition on the away goals rule, with the aggregate score tied at 6-6.
The development comes on the same day City accepted a charge of misconduct from the FA relating to the conduct of their players in last weekend's Premier League game against Liverpool, which ended 1-1.
The FA also outlined the reasons why the club were fined for breaking anti-doping regulations during 2016, with their findings also released on Friday.
