Sheffield United have seen another bid for Blackburn’s Darragh Lenihan rejected, Sky Sports News understands.

The Blades are determined to land the former Republic of Ireland U21 international and have had a series of offers knocked back, with the latest bid believed to be £1.25m.

Sky Sports News reported the first two bids back in early July, which came in either side of £500,000.

Rovers, who were relegated to Sky Bet League One last season, want to keep the 23-year-old centre-back.

Lenihan, meanwhile, has two years left on his contract at Ewood Park, after coming through the club's academy.
