Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp is set to sign a new deal which will be announced on Thursday, according to manager Chris Wilder.
Sharp, 33, has scored 22 goals and provided two assists in the Championship this season.
He re-signed for United from Leeds in July 2015 and has since scored 86 league goals in 154 appearances.
In January, Sharp became the leading English-born goalscorer in English league football this century with 220 goals.
Sheffield currently sit second in the Championship table, only two points behind leaders Norwich and above Leeds on goal difference.
Wilder's side take on West Brom at The Hawthorns on Saturday, live on Sky Sports.
