Charlton Athletic have signed goalkeeper Declan Rudd from Norwich City on a one-year loan deal.
The 25-year-old, who made 11 Premier League appearances for the Canaries last season, fills the gap in the Addicks' squad created by the departure of Nick Pope to Burnley last month.
Rudd has made 34 appearances for Norwich in total and also featured 69 times for Preston during two loan spells at Deepdale in the second half of the 2012/13 season and the entire 2013/14 campaign.
Charlton manager Russell Slade told his club's official website: "We have been patient in waiting for our No 1 target and we are delighted that our patience has been rewarded. We feel like we have got a top goalkeeper in Declan and he was so enthusiastic and could not wait to get started today.
"That is what he is all about. He is a very efficient, all-round goalkeeper; his kicking his good, he manages his box well and he is a very good shot stopper. We are very pleased to have him."
Rudd, who was capped by England at U16, U17, U19, U20 and U21 level, said: "It's brilliant to have the move sorted and I am really happy to be down here and part of the squad.
"As soon as a got the call about the possibility about coming to Charlton it was a no brainer for me.
"This is huge club with great history and facilities, and we have a great manager and staff here and hopefully we can achieve our goal this season which is, of course, to bounce straight back up to the Championship."
