West Ham youngster Martin Samuelsen has joined Peterborough on loan for the rest of the season.

Midfielder Samuelsen is well known to Posh fans, having played 20 games for the League One side last season.

The Norway international was sent to Blackburn on loan at the start of the season but that deal was cut short over a lack of playing time after four appearances.

Peterborough were looking for extra attacking options, with George Moncur and Nathan Oduwa having returned to Barnsley and Tottenham respectively after loan spells.

Manager Grant McCann said: "It is great to have Martin back at the club. He is well loved by the players and the staff and of course the supporters, I am sure he will bring a lot more quality to us and we are looking forward to working with him again.

"George has returned to Barnsley. They are similar players, but Martin can play in numerous positions for us whereas George could only really play in one. It is great to have that quality in the squad."
