West Ham have signed Victor Moses from Chelsea on a season long loan deal

West Ham have completed the signing of Chelsea winger Victor Moses on a season-long loan.

The Nigeria international, however, has pledged his long-term future to Chelsea by signing a new four-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Moses, who spent the past two seasons on loan at Liverpool and Stoke City, becomes the Hammers' second deadline day purchase following the arrival of midfielder Alex Song from Barcelona, also on a season-long loan.

The 24-year-old moved to Chelsea from Wigan Athletic for £9m in 2012 and made 43 appearances during his debut season, scoring 10 goals.

Moses, however, has made just one appearance since the return of Jose Mourinho as manager in 2013 - that came as an 82nd-minute substitute in this season's 1-0 Community Shield defeat to Arsenal at Wembley.

West Ham are also understood to be closing in on signing of Hull City forward Nikica Jelavic and remain in talks to sign Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
