Quique Sanchez Flores talks about his possible Watford team selection ahead of Wednesday night's Premier League clash at Norwich

Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores has promised to select as strong a squad as possible for their final two games of the Premier League season.

The Hornets take on Norwich at Carrow Road on Wednesday night before they host Sunderland on Saturday.

A victory for Sam Allardyce's side against Everton on Wednesday would secure their top-flight survival and render Watford's influence on the relegation scrap null and void.

But Flores is keen for his side to keep battling hard until the end of the season, although he admits they may have to be the "bad boy in the film" before the closing credits roll on another intriguing Premier League campaign.

"It's important for us and it's good for us that we have the necessity to be competitive because I know we are expecting to play against a very tough team, because Norwich need the victory," said Flores.

Speaking before the Liverpool game, Flores said he wasn't worried about the speculation about his future

"For us it will be important to go to the pitch with the idea to play well, to think about how we can stop Norwich, to play football and to score goals.

"This is our idea because we need to be competitive and to show everyone that we respect the Premier League, so of course it is a serious match for us.

"Our responsibility is to win and to choose the best team. We need to be competitive, we need to respect the other team, and other teams don't need to have any doubts about us because we will use the best players we can.

"I don't like to play against Norwich and Sunderland because they are fighting against relegation and it's always very sad, but in this case we are the bad boy in the film. This is our role and we need to play it."

Speaking before the Liverpool game, Flores said he wasn't worried about the speculation about his future

Despite guiding Watford to safety on their return to the top flight, as well as the semi-finals of the FA Cup, Flores' position at Vicarage Road remains uncertain.

They began the season in promising form but have won just four matches in 2016, although Flores appeared unfazed when asked once again about his future at the Hertfordshire club.

"I am happy here and I am just thinking about the last two matches and trying to get as many points as we can," he added.

"After that, I will go on holiday and spend some time with my family."
