Javi Gracia says there is "no news" on the future of Abdoulaye Doucoure, with the midfielder still an "important" player for Watford.
Doucoure has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the January window, with Doucoure telling French radio station RMC that PSG are the "club of his heart" this week.
Having scored three times while impressing for Watford in the Premier League in December, rumours have intensified over where Doucoure's future lies, but Watford manager Gracia is adamant Doucoure is still part of his plans.
"I can't tell you anything different, because nothing has changed," Gracia said. "He keeps training, the same way as he was doing before.
"At this moment, he is playing really well, scoring goals, working for the team - he is a very important player for us.
"I don't have any new news. For me, he is at the same point as last week."
Gracia also gave his thoughts on VAR after the controversy over Harry Kane's winning penalty in Tuesday's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg, believing its introduction in the Premier League can only be a good thing.
"I think always there will be mistakes, with and without technology," Gracia added. "With VAR, the mistakes will reduce.
"If the referees think it is a good thing for them, then I support it. It will be better for everybody."
