Bolton's players and staff yet to receive February's wages

Bolton's players and staff have not been paid February's wages on time, according to Sky sources.

Sky Sports News understands the club's staff and players have yet to be told when they are expected to receive their February wages.

Bolton have been beset by financial difficulties this season, and players went on strike in the summer, after wages had not been paid.

Payments were also delayed in November before this latest issue which the club have yet to comment on.

On Sunday, it was announced that chairman Ken Anderson had an agreement in principle had been reached to sell his shares in the Sky Bet Championship club.

Sky Sports News understand Anderson, whose Inner Circle Investments company is believed to hold around 95 per cent of shares, has agreed a deal with a consortium led by Cheshire based businessman Parminder Basran and business partner Sharon Brittan.

Bolton are due in court next month to face a winding-up petition issued by HM Revenue and Customs, with the hearing scheduled to be held in the High Court on the morning of March 20.
