Winger joins Championship club for £250k on three-year deal

Nottingham Forest have completed their third signing of the summer with the capture of Paul Anderson from Liverpool. The 20-year-old has penned a three-year deal and has cost the Championship club a cut-price £250,000. The winger spent last season on loan at the City Ground although injuries at the start of the season restricted him to just 28 appearances from which he scored just twice. The former West Brom youngster arrived at Anfield from Hull City in January 2006 with the weight of a £1.5million price tag around his young neck. The youngster failed to live up to expectations with the Reds and leaves having never made an appearance for Rafa Benitez's men. Despite his lack of first-team action with Liverpool Anderson has the experience of a season-long loan spell with Swansea in 2007. Many expected Anderson to rejoin them last summer but he opted instead to join Forest.
