Harry Redknapp will not rule out return after Birmingham sacking

Harry Redknapp has told Sky Sports News he will not rule out a return to football after being sacked by Birmingham.
The 70-year-old led Birmingham to a narrow escape from relegation to Sky Bet League One last season when he came in to take over for their final three league games, but had his contract terminated just 10 games into the current campaign.
The former Tottenham, West Ham and Portsmouth boss had initially suggested the Blues job would be his last, but has now indicated he could be persuaded to return if the right job came along.
"You never know, if someone rings up," Redknapp told Sky Sports News. "I said I wouldn't go back before and then suddenly someone says 'we've got something here'.
"If it was interesting, I love it (management). People say 'oh, driving up to Birmingham' - I loved it. I looked forward to it every day. I loved going into work, absolutely loved it."
Birmingham signed 14 players during the summer transfer window as Redknapp looked to build a team capable of challenging at the other end of the Sky Bet Championship, and still believes he could have turned it around at St Andrew's.
"I had big ambitions for the club this year and I think given time we would have achieved those ambitions, I really do," he said. "The time wasn't there but you move on. I would love to get back in somewhere."
Redknapp added: "I think there's a real good team there, I don't think they'll be far short of the play-offs. That's my honest opinion."
Lee Carsley has taken over as caretaker manager at Birmingham, earning the club's first point in six league games on Saturday with a 1-1 draw at Derby.
Redknapp was unable to field his new-look side all together before departing Birmingham, with on-loan Carl Jenkinson having dislocated his shoulder on his debut, while record-signing Jota immediately joined Isaac Vassell and Che Adams on the sidelines with hamstring injuries.
"I only had a week with the new players, so it was difficult," Redknapp said. "Once they settle down I think it's a great job, someone is going to walk in there and get a really good job."
