West Bromwich Albion have launched a bid for Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore, according to Sky sources.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis is looking to strengthen his midfield options this month having allowed Craig Gardner to return to Sky Bet Championship side Birmingham City on loan.
Sky sources understand Pulis has turned his focus to securing the services of Livermore after failing with a bid to sign France international Morgan Schneiderlin, who subsequently left Manchester United to join Everton.
Livermore joined Hull in 2014 from Tottenham and played a leading role in their promotion back to the Premier League via the play-offs last season.
The 27-year-old had been an ever-present for the Tigers in the Premier League up until Saturday's 3-1 victory over Bournemouth, when he was left on the substitutes' bench by new head coach Marco Silva.
Livermore, capped once by England, has made 144 appearances in total for Hull during his three seasons with the club, scoring nine times.
