Wolves v Rotherham preview
Friday 10 March 2017 16:32, UK
Wolves will have defender Mike Williamson available to face Rotherham after suspension.
The centre-back was sent off late on in just his second appearance of the season against Reading last weekend and sat out the midweek draw with Ipswich. That ended a run of six straight defeats for Paul Lambert's side, and the return to the bench after injury of Ivan Cavaleiro was a welcome sight.
Leading scorer Helder Costa was also among the substitutes, with Lambert deciding the winger needed a rest, but he could return to the starting line-up on Saturday.
Rotherham striker Danny Ward is hoping to be back in contention after missing the midweek home defeat to Brighton. Ward sustained a knock in last week's loss to Aston Villa, but returned to training on Thursday.
Otherwise, interim boss Paul Warne is expecting to choose from an unchanged squad, with Lee Frecklington set to resume after making his first start since early January on Tuesday night. Deadline-day signing Carlton Morris (hamstring) is not ready for his first appearance, while Richard O'Donnell (finger), Joel Ekstrand (knee), Darnell Fisher (hamstring) and Richard Wood (groin) all remain sidelined.
Opta stats
Wolves have never lost at home to Rotherham in any competition (W9 D4), with the last game ending 0-0 in April 2016.
The Millers have won one of their last 20 league games against Wolves (D8 L11), a 1-0 win in August 2014.
Wolves' draw at Ipswich in midweek ended a run of five successive defeats for them.
The Millers have picked up just one point from their 18 away league games this season - fewer than any other side in the top four tiers of English football.
Helder Costa has been involved in four of Wolves' last six home league goals (1 goal, 3 assists).
Rotherham have conceded in each of their last 16 league games, their longest such run since a run of 21 ending in August 1991.
Prutton's prediction
Wolves' home form this season has not been sparkling, but they have games in hand against teams around them and have to win to get points on the board. It's way too close for comfort for them.
It shows that if a club is not managed properly consistently then it will be in this position. The team has been chopped and changed.
I saw the reverse fixture on the opening day of the season and it was Walter Zenga's first game in charge and they were good, playing expansive football. But that beautiful sunny day must seem a world away because they are fighting for their lives.
It's been one-way traffic for Rotherham all season and I think they will lose this.
David Prutton predicts: 1-0 (13/2 with Sky Bet)
