Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has been fined £8,000 after he admitted an FA improper conduct charge and admitted the standard charge.

The charge relates to his behaviour in the 93rd minute of the game against Leicester on January 19, when he ran on to the pitch to celebrate with his players as Diego Jota completed his hat-trick after scoring the winning goal in their 4-3 victory.

Nuno was subsequently dismissed by referee Chris Kavanagh, the same official who failed to send off Jurgen Klopp when he invaded the pitch to celebrate Liverpool's late winner against Everton in November.

Speaking after the game, Nuno said he understood that Kavanagh had no choice but to send him to the stands.

"It's the law, it's not bad intention, it's not [meant to be] disrespectful. I'm so happy," he said."

"It happened before with other managers, in that moment it's difficult to contain your emotions.

Nuno Espirito Santo says Wolves' dramatic 4-3 win over Leicester was a fantastic game but says they should have managed it better when they were 2-0 ahead

"The law is clear. There's no explanation. After all the situations which passed in the game to finish like that is tremendous happiness for everyone, I'm no exception.
