Ronald Koeman would only consider leaving Southampton for a top club in the Premier League or Europe, according to Sky sources.
The Dutchman, who has been reported as a candidate for the vacant Everton job, declared he wanted to stay at Southampton on Sunday after securing a Europa League spot in Saints' final game of the season.
However, sources have told Sky Sports News HQ that despite Koeman claiming he wants to stay at St Mary's for the foreseeable future, he would be tempted away by one of Europe's leading clubs.
Koeman, who made more than 200 appearances for Barcelona in a six-year spell as a player, has previously been reported by the Catalan press to be a candidate to manage at the Camp Nou in the future.
But it is understood he is not interested in a move to Goodison Park after Everton sacked Roberto Martinez last week.
Southampton have had another excellent season under Koeman, finishing sixth in the Premier League and three points outside the top-four, winning 18 games including seven of their last nine games.
They are hoping to bolster their squad with a right-winger this summer but are also preparing for the possible departures of Victor Wanyama and Graziano Pelle.
