Manager Steve Bruce hopes to also have a trio of players back from injury. Morgan Fox (back), Jordan Thorniley (concussion) and George Boyd (illness) all missed the win over Swansea.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank hopes to have Marcus Forss and Luke Daniels available for the trip. Forss suffered a setback with his back injury and missed the 5-1 win over Hull on Saturday.

However, Frank revealed that a scan on the problem was encouraging and the forward could return to action soon. Goalkeeper Daniels had a minor calf injury and could make a swift return to the squad.
