Plymouth v Doncaster preview

Struggling Plymouth's injury problems show no sign of abating prior to hosting League One opponents Doncaster on Saturday.

Argyle, bottom of the table and without a league win this season, currently have a casualty count that runs into double figures. Three more players joined the injured list after being hurt during last weekend's defeat against Charlton.

Club captain Gary Sawyer suffered a broken foot in that game, while Scott Wootton pulled a thigh muscle and Antoni Sarcevic picked up a stomach injury, giving manager Derek Adams plenty to ponder ahead of team selection.

Fourth-placed Doncaster, meanwhile, could be boosted by the return of midfielder Ali Crawford for their trip to Devon. Crawford suffered a knee injury on the season's opening weekend last month, but he returned to action in an under-23s game against Scunthorpe earlier this week and might now be back in the first team mix.

Rovers, though, will be without Ben Whiteman due to suspension after he collected a fifth League One booking of the season during a 2-1 victory over Bradford five days ago. And club captain Tommy Rowe remains an absentee as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
