Chris Wood

What a season it's been for Burnley's resident Kiwi. Into double figures in the Premier League for the third season in a row, he's already secured his best-ever top scoring season in the top flight with 11 goals, and with four in his last 10 the league suspension didn't come at a great time for the 28-year-old.

Dwight McNeil

McNeil is increasingly making a name for himself as one of the Premier League's finest crossers. Only Adama Traore and Trent Alexander-Arnold have completed more crosses in open play this season, and he flourishes in Burnley's somewhat old-school system as one of a dying breed of out-and-out wide men.

The 20-year-old only has five assists to his name this season, but that is as many as he managed in the whole of 2018/19, so he is certainly on an upward trajectory.

Charlie Taylor

One name who hasn't been mentioned often as a potential understudy, or perhaps even competition, for Ben Chilwell when the Euros eventually roll around is Burnley's left-back, who has been going about his business efficiently for more than season now since making the position his own.

A good engine down the left and a typically solid Burnley defender, who often lets McNeil deal with the attacking side of patrolling the flank, Taylor still arguably has his best years ahead of him, having turned 26 back in September.

Nick Pope

Star man: Nick Pope

There's a good reason Pope is being talked about as having the potential to dethrone Jordan Pickford as England's No1 when football eventually returns, and that is solely down to his consistently superb displays for Burnley since doing likewise to Tom Heaton several years ago.

His penalty save against Jamie Vardy back in January proved the catalyst not only for their comeback win that day, but also a seven-game unbeaten streak since - during which time his goal has only been breached three times. No-one in the Premier League has more clean sheets this season than Pope, which considering the number of traditionally bigger sides in the league, and the sensational form of Liverpool, beggars belief.

James Tarkowski

It's difficult to choose between Tarkowski and his centre-back partner Ben Mee for inclusion in this list - but the twice-capped England man has just shaded his colleague this season.

Tarkowski has made the most blocks of anyone in the division, the sixth-highest number of tackles of any centre-back, the second-most clearances of anyone, and won more aerial battles than Virgil Van Dijk. The stats back up just what a rock he has been at the back for the Clarets.
