New Leicester midfielder Nampalys Mendy claims he has fulfilled an ambition by joining a Premier League club.
The 24-year-old, who played under Claudio Ranieri at Monaco, was reunited with his former boss when he signed for the Foxes on Sunday.
Mendy arrived from Nice for an undisclosed fee and signed a four-year contract with the English champions.
And after realising his ambition, Mendy is confident he will quickly adapt to his new environment.
"I'm excited to play in the Premier League because it's my first season in it. I came from France and today I'm at a Premier League club - it's my dream," Mendy said on Leicester's official website.
"The Premier League is physically stronger and it's faster and in Ligue 1, it's more about tactics and technique, so it's very different. I like to always fight and I play for the team. I play with my head also.
"I like the stadium also - it's big and it's different to stadiums in France - the supporters are close to the pitch."
Mendy is the third new arrival at Leicester this summer following the acquisitions of Hannover goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler and defender Luis Hernandez from Sporting Gijon.
Leicester are also poised to complete the signing of Nigeria forward Ahmed Musa from CSKA Moscow according to Sky sources.
