Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare says he is happy with this week's work after a fourth consecutive victory under his leadership.
After knocking Sevilla out of the Champions League on Tuesday evening, the Foxes claimed up a hard-fought 3-2 victory at West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.
Riyad Mahrez, Robert Huth and Jamie Vardy gave the visitors a 3-1 lead at half-time with Manuel Lanzini pulling a goal back for the visitors, before Andre Ayew added a second just after the hour mark.
After that, West Ham continued to push for an equaliser but could not find a way past Leicester's defence, with Shakespeare pleased with the results in the last seven days.
"It was a back to the wall second half but I thought we put ourselves in the driving seat in the first half," he told Sky Sports.
"The goals came at a good time for us to get a foothold in the game and they threw the kitchen sink at us in the second half and we had to show different attributes.
"We had to defend our box, we had to defend crosses because we knew they would come in and we also had to thank Kasper for a couple of important saves.
"The boys all say that's what he's there for and as a team, we can be delighted with the week's work.
"Possibly [some fatigue from midweek], but I also think we need to give West Ham credit. I thought they pushed us back, put some question marks over us and it was good to show that resilience at the end of the day."
An assistant manager under Nigel Pearson and Claudio Ranieri, Shakespeare has guided the Foxes back to their Premier League-winning form, and with respite coming next weekend during the international break, he is pleased to see a break for his players.
"I've seen that for the last four games [last year's form] and we've got the results that give you confidence and you can see that returning," he added.
"I think it does come at a good time [the international break]. We do need to recharge the batteries now, we can give them some recovery days, give them some training days and we've got a few away as well."
