Leicester have rejected a £20million offer from Roma for Riyad Mahrez, according to Sky in Italy.
Roma made contact with Leicester over Mahrez's availability earlier this week, having sold Mohamed Salah to Liverpool last month.
The offer was made during a meeting between Roma sporting director Monchi and Leicester's head of senior player recruitment Eduardo Macia.
Mahrez, who was instrumental in Leicester's 2015-16 title-winning campaign, handed in a transfer request in May.
The 26-year-old joined Leicester from Le Havre in January 2014, helping them secure promotion back to the Premier League that season.
Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare told Sky Sports News HQ earlier this month the club had received no bids for reported Arsenal target Mahrez, and that the winger remained fully committed to the club.
Mahrez scored six goals in 36 Premier League appearances for the Foxes last term.
