Leicester City manager Claude Puel says he has no issue with Jamie Vardy, who appeared to react angrily after the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United

Leicester boss Claude Puel insists he has no problem with Jamie Vardy after the striker appeared to react angrily when speaking to his manager after the 1-0 home defeat to Manchester United.

Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game at the King Power Stadium, and Puel says Vardy was merely showing understandable frustration at the final whistle.

"I have a good relationship with him. We know Jamie and after he has lost, he is never happy and that is normal for a player," Puel said ahead of Sunday's game with Tottenham at Wembley, live on Sky Sports.

"If I thought one of my players was disrespectful, to me or to the club, there would be a sanction.

"That is not the case with Jamie."

Puel also revealed that Leicester midfielder Marc Albrighton is likely to miss most of the season as he requires surgery on his injured hamstring.
