Milton Keynes Dons have agreed a deal with Metz for Flavien Belson, skysports.com understands.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been looking to seal a move to England and trained with Plymouth earlier this summer.
He has since linked-up with the MK Dons and manager Roberto Di Matteo has been impressed enough to strike a deal.
Metz rate the player, who came through their youth system, and at this moment only want to let him leave on loan, and he will now spend this season at Stadium:MK.
If the deal is completed in time, Belson should be free to make his debut against Huddersfield on Saturday.
